Yes, Naral and I got married on November 28th, and I officially moved out of my family house on Earth a few days after my honeymoon. I miss my parents and siblings, but this is my new life: both I and they are going to cope with it sooner or later. Naral and I live together on Bajor now, in the house her parents and I bought together, with our savings.
Today we took Laira out because I wanted to buy her a Christmas present. Naral was okay already with the sharing of religious and traditional festivities, so we both agreed on getting Laira involved. We entered inside a toy store, with several Bajoran dolls exposed on the shelves. I discussed with Naral, and we were about to buy our daughter a new set of “mommy-doll-play” accessories…. but no! She pointed at Remote Control Tanks! ^^ I don’t believe in stereotypes, but that is so weird of Laira; she’s always so hooked on dolls play that I had never noticed she was developing a love for toy vehicles as well. I bet Naral didn’t know too.
This is my first Christmas as a married man… It feels so strange. :) I’m so used to be the kid at home, surrounded by loving parents and siblings… Not everything’s gonna change, but in the end… this is simply the cycle of life, family that goes on and grows wider. I have my little family, Naral and Laira. And hopefully, a new child will join the family soon (we are TTCing ^///^).
